Writing styles for the web
More web marketing issues...

• Use a casual, personal style, as if you were talking to someone.
• Use the KISS method of writing: Keep It Short and Simple.
• If detailed information is necessary, summarize first then link to the more detailed information.
• Web readers tend to scan rather than read when locating information, therefore:
o Keep the paragraphs short.
o Use common language and terminology.
o Break longer text into subsections with headings.
o Use "callouts" to bring attention to important information or notable statements.
• SPELL CHECK!! GRAMMAR CHECK!! (If you are rusty on punctuation and grammar rules, have someone with good writing skills review it. Also, utilize word processors such as Microsoft Word to help you identify errors).
